Technical requirements
Have you booked a Flip Thinking show or training with us? Congratulations! You’re in for a real treat.
What still needs to be arranged?
Here’s the simplest way of putting it:
You arrange the location, seating, and a stage (from 70 participants and up). We take care of the trainers, actors, sound engineering, and set design. To deliver the quality we aim for, the room needs to meet a few basic requirements. If something isn’t possible, for whatever reason, please contact our office in advance. This will help prevent surprises on the day of the event itself.
What requirements should the performance space meet?
- The room should be as empty as possible and easily accessible (wheelchair-friendly) for loading and unloading equipment.
- Individual chairs are preferred:
- With individual chairs: One chair per expected participant. Theater setup: slightly curving rows of individual chairs, with an aisle in the middle. No tables or objects between the chairs. Tables that cannot be removed entirely from the space should be placed at the back of the room.
- With fixed seating: Please make sure everyone sits as close to the front as possible. This may require gently asking participants to please sit at the front. Another option is to block the back rows with tape or signs.
- Lighting: On stage: white front light / open white. If possible: blue backlight and blue horizon (preferred color: 132). Stage and audience should be lit well enough so that the trainer/actor and audience can clearly see each other.
- The room needs to be well insulated from external noise so that other people are not disturbed by our music and laughter and we are not disturbed by other external noise.
- If a dressing room is available, we will gladly use it.

Setup time: 1.5 hours. Breakdown time: 30 minutes.
Do we need to arrange a stage for your event?
Up to 70 participants: usually no stage needed.
From 70 participants: a stage is required. If you cannot arrange this yourself, please call us. Our technicians can provide a stage for an additional fee.
Stage requirements:
- 70 – 150 participants: For groups of 70 – 150 participants, we require a stage that is 6 meters wide, 4 meters deep, and 40 centimeters high. There should be at least 2.5 meters of free space above the stage to accommodate our set design. The stage must have steps at the front (audience side) and be finished with skirting along the front and sides.
- 150 – 250 participants: Same as above, but with a stage height of 60 cm.
- 250+ participants: Same as above, but with a stage height of 80 cm.
What requirements should the space for a training session meet?
- Minimum size: 60 m².
- An enclosed room, free from people walking around the space, or walking in and out of the room.
- One chair per participant plus two extra chairs for trainer and assistant.
- Chairs in a circle with a small table for the assistant.
- No tables or objects between the chairs. Tables that cannot be removed entirely from the space should be placed at the back of the room.

May I film videos or take photos?
Professional filming or photography is not allowed. Please feel free to take photos for your own personal use, for internal use at your organisation, or for social media.
How should you introduce our Flip Thinking employees to your audience?
A content-heavy introduction is not necessary. But it is important that participants know why we’re at your event.
Please briefly explain the following as it will help us to connect with your audience:
- Why Omdenken was chosen to be at the event.
- What the goal of the meeting is.
- How Flip Thinking connects to your organisation or theme.
Would you like to announce us to your people before we come to the event? Perhaps in a newsletter, invitation, or intranet post? Feel free to use the following sample introductory text:
Flip Thinking is a way of thinking, a way of taking action, in which you flip problems into new possibilities. It starts by accepting reality as it is and exploring what you can do with that reality. The Flip Thinking Show is a fast-paced experience filled with sharp examples, humor, and plenty of interaction.
Do we need to bring a PowerPoint presentation?
No, thank you. We won’t be needing PowerPoint. If there’s a large screen in the room, we’d be happy to display our logo. You can download our logo via these links:

May we use the quotes you post online?
Yes, please! Our quotes may be used for venue decoration or promotional purposes.
- Download our English quotes here.
Do you have photos we can use?
Yes, we do indeed! Here’s a selection of photos from previous Omdenken shows that you can use for promotional purposes. Please download them here: Photo 1, Photo 2, Photo 3 en Photo 4.
Can we use your sound engineer for the whole day?
Yes, absolutely! We’ve worked with Combi Events for many years with great satisfaction. They can take care of the technical production for the entire event, not just the Omdenken /Flip Thinking part. Honestly? If we were in your shoes, we’d go for it. Nico, Henk, and their partners are all excellent technicians.
